1) Watch the corgis parade through the Pearl
Grab an outdoor table at Lovejoy Bakers (NW 10th and Lovejoy) this Saturday and watch Portland’s corgis waddle by in the fifth annual Corgi Walk. Guaranteed cuteness.
2) Pick your own fruits and veggies
My love of Sauvie Island Farms has been well documented via instagram. Get in on the action this weekend and pick your own ripe blueberries, blackberries, peaches, corn and more! (19818 NW Sauvie Island Road)
3) Try a new cocktail
Head over to Rum Club (720 SE Sandy) and try the house special Rum Club Daiquiri, mixed up by one of their many talented bartenders.
4) Trade in your clothes for a little cash
Make room for fall by cleaning out your closet and taking your unwanted items to Buffalo Exchange. (Locations at W Burnside and SE Hawthorne.)
5) Peruse the aisles at Powell’s Books
There is something so relaxing about wandering through Powell’s Books on W Burnside. I could spend hours in their cookbook aisle alone. Next time I’m in, I plan to pick up this book and this book.
