A few things I’m loving now…
1. This movie:
Moonrise Kingdom captured my heart with its beautiful cinematography, brilliant acting and story of young, quirky love. A must see.
2. This book:
I’m only a third of the way in, but The Count of Monte Cristo is quickly becoming one of my favorite books. Nothing beats a good classic (I’m looking at you, Hunger Games).
3. This apartment:

Phase one of our apartment decorating project is almost complete, and I am beyond thrilled with the result. It makes me so happy to walk downstairs in the morning and see the living room bathed in soft light. I could sit at that kitchen table and drink tea for hours, let me tell you.
4. This superfood:
Kale, gloooorious kale!! Monuments should be erected in your honor. Dark, leafy, and full of nutrition, you are the most delicious vegetable anywhere. My favorite way to eat kale right now is with pasta as a super quick after work dinner. In a medium pot, boil about 2 oz of spaghetti in plenty of salted water for a few minutes, then add a cup (or three!) of kale and continue boiling until the pasta is al dente and the kale is nice and soggy. Meanwhile, heat about a tablespoon of olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add a minced clove of garlic and a pinch of red pepper flakes and heat for a few minutes. When the pasta is done, drain the pasta and kale and combine with the garlicky, red peppery oil (I like to drizzle the oil over the pasta while leaving the bits of pepper and garlic in the pan). Finish with the juice of half of a lemon and a couple big pinches of grated parmesan.

Spotted this beautiful display at Nordstrom over the weekend. Hey you, second from the right, you’re mine.
Happy Tuesday! Hope you all have something fun planned for the Fourth tomorrow!

So you should try Rebecca, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, David Copperfield…so many great reads out there! I loved the Count of Monte Cristo too!
Adding to the list! Thanks for the recommendations.
One of my goals is to read more this summer – so thanks for the book recommendation! Will you put up some more kale recipes soon?
Absolutely! Cannot get enough of kale.
